Stop Animation 5-19-15

My stop animation was about skittles and them turning into different objects. An example would be is that I separated them by color and then I made them into a flower and the flowers transferring into balloons. I chose to do my video about this because I thought it would look very cool, be fun, and it would be creative. If I could rate my stop motion video on a scale 1-10 I would be 7 because it was a great idea using skittles, but the objects I could have made better and more of them. I would have more time and do it all at the same time because I kept having to set up everything again. I also could have a better background because I used fabric which some parts were wrinkly when I set mine out. I think the skittles make my stop animation unique because a lot of people used white boards. I think I deserve an A because I met all the expectations and I had more then 250 pictures.

Unethical Practice 4-20-15

Why do you think that most people use unethical practices to cheat academically?
I think that most people use unethical practices to cheat academically because they are to lazy and don’t want to do the assignment. They could also be under a lot of stress to write their own essay. Another reason is people just want to get out of doing it so they lie about being stressed and not getting it because it would just be easier to copy or use sentences from other peoples work.

Which one of the four offenses committed you think should have been let off with a warning rather than expelled? Why? I think Sandra, helping her friend Muhammad should be let off with a warning rather than getting expelled. The reason I think this is because she thought he was writing down some ideas from what they were talking about. She was just trying to help him and she was the one being copied not the one copying someone else's.

What kinds of problems will follow the students with this on their record?
Some problems the students will have on their record is first you will get expelled from school. Then the colleges will not let you in if they found you plagiarized because they would rather have someone who did not, it will destroy the rest of your future like school, playing sports, and other activities.

Search the unethical academic practices or plagiarism at the school you want to attend and see what the offense for these practices are. The unethical academic practices or plagiarism at UCLA are dismissal from Law Review, revocation of any offer of publication that has been made by the Law Review, required it to be rewritten as condition of continued Law Review membership, Demotion of member board position to staff, and prohibition from submitting any written work for publication consideration in future issues.

Sphero Investigations 3-9-15

Lesson 1: Speed, Time and Distance

The activities we learned while programming sphero is we learned how to change the speed and how to stop the Sphero. We learned how to keep the Sphero going while setting the time. We learned how to roll the sphero which made it roll at a given speed and heading. We learned how to stop the Sphero which made it stop rolling immediately. With these commands we were able to roll and stop the Sphero at given times.

Lessson 2: 2D Geometry

The activities we learned while programming Sphero in Lesson 2 are how to make different colors and shapes. We also learned how to find different angles to create the shapes. In example, 0 degrees, 120 degrees, and 240 degrees makes a triangle. We already learned the commands roll and stop, the new commands we learned are the RGB which changes the color of the Sphero and we learned how to delay the color on the Sphero which sets the amount of time the ball waits to execute the next command. With these commands we were able to change the color of the Sphero and make shapes by delaying the Sphero to turn a different direction.

2-18-15 SixthSense Technology

I learned about new technology being made and how this might improve and update technology software. This technology is so amazing because you don’t need a phone, ipad, or computer in front of you to do any work, we can just have a piece of paper or even a wall to project the screen on something solid. This technology is very interesting because everybody mostly has all the items to make this and is not very expensive! It’s also amazing because when you project the screen on a little piece of paper you can use your fingers on the paper to make the screen zoom in or zoom out. The 3-D pen is very cool because you can write on a sticky note and it will transfer it onto the computer. A problem that might occur with this type of technology is that you might wear it on your neck wherever you go and you can take a quick picture of somebody and post it right away from the projection on any solid object.
