I watched a TED video by Gary Kovac, titled: Tracking Our Online Trackers. Gary Kovac talked to us about tracker collusion. His subject matter is very interesting and talked us through the trackers that were following his daughter and himself, feeling suprised on how many people were looking through his personal data. He was concerened about people looking through his personal data without his permission. The reason that all the tracking was a concern for the speaker was that he wanted privacy and if you take a deeper look into it then it’s scary that people are trying to look into your personal data without permission. People can hack you and actually learn personal data you want to keep private. I think what the trackers are doing with my information is that they are looking up personal information and they can share it to different sources on the internet that I didn’t intend it to ever go viral. Tracking would be a good thing because if you lost a historic event thats really important and put it on the internet you could find it. Tracking would be a bad thing because you don’t want random people you don’t know looking at your personal data like where you live, social security numbers, banking information, your birthday, your relationships, and lots more. I was very surprised on how many dots and connections that were appearing because when we get on the computer or any technology device we go straight to our job to get it done and never think about anyone that can be getting into your personal information. I think there would be an average amount of dots because I don’t have many accounts that I can share my life on and what I do have I think before I post anything.
I feel the same way about tracking... Nice job, very detailed explanation.
